Here is some vocabulary from this edition. Do you know what the words mean?

allure
a mysterious, exciting, or desirable quality

commission
 an extra amount of money that is paid to a person or organization according to the value of the goods they have sold or the services they have provided

competitive
determined or trying very hard to be more successful than other people or businesses

disoriented
confused and not understanding what is happening around you

dispel
to make something go away, especially a belief, idea, or feeling

expound
to explain or talk about something in detail

fertile
land or soil that is able to produce good crops

foliage
the leaves of a plant

geneticist
someone who studies the qualities of living things are passed on in their genes

hectic
very busy or full of activity

landlocked
country, state etc is surrounded by other countries, states etc and has no coast

liaison
someone whose job is to talk to different departments or groups and to tell each of them about what the others are doing

mesmerizing
something, you cannot stop watching them or listening to them because they are so attractive or have such a powerful effect

paganism
religious beliefs and customs do not belong to any of the main religions of the world, and may come from a time before these religions

pamper
to look after someone very kindly, for example by giving them the things that they want and making them feel warm and comfortable

phenomenal
very great or impressive

picturesque
pretty and interesting in an old-fashioned way

posture
the way you position your body when sitting or standing

potent
having a very powerful effect or influence on your body or mind

pristine
extremely fresh or clean

propaganda
information which is false or which emphasizes just one part of a situation, used by a government or political group to make people agree with them

prosthetic
an artificial leg, tooth, or other part of the body which takes the place of a missing part

remedy
a medicine to cure an illness or pain that is not very serious

shuttlecock
a small light object that you hit over the net in the game of badminton

skyrocket
greatly increases very quickly

spectator
someone who is watching an event or game

squeaky
making very high noises that are not loud

strategy
a planned series of actions for achieving something

strenuous
needing a lot of effort or strength

toddler
a very young child who is just learning to walk

unwind
to relax and stop feeling anxious

ventilate
to let fresh air into a room, building

vibrant
 full of activity or energy in a way that is exciting and attractive

yummy
tasting very good
