Travel (Outside of Canada)

Holding french flag on the Liberation square backogorund in Dijon city in France

I always dreamed of visiting Paris, France and this summer unexpectedly my dream came true. My daughter and I traveled to Bulgaria with a stopover in Paris. The stopover was for less than two days which meant that we didn’t have a lot of time to tour through Paris. We were very lucky because our trip coincided with the time of the Paralympic Games, and there were many people around the city helping tourists with information in English.

As soon as we were outside of Paris airport, we headed to the Eiffel Tower. There were crowds of tourists everywhere. Eiffel Tower is very beautiful and huge. We strolled through the streets and enjoyed some French pastries. The experience was as delightful as I had imagined. The pastries in France are incredibly delicious.

The next day, we took a bus tour and saw all the sights from the comfort of the bus with an audio commentary device (you could even choose your native language). The weather was wonderful. I had never seen a city with so many sculptures (even though I have visited ten countries and have lived in three). Paris is irresistible. My daughter and I were simply mesmerized by it. France is very different from other countries.

Although it has been a long time, we still have wonderful memories of this short trip. I will definitely return to Paris for a longer period and explore everything there thoroughly. This was like just tasting something that you always wanted to try.
