Spring began on Friday, March 1. I know in Canada you can still see snow in March. I wonder why we like spring so much.

I am so excited about how everything starts growing and becoming green. Nature is very beautiful in the spring. For me, spring is a time of change and a time to be in fresh air. Walking in nature, spending time with family and friends and having barbeques and picnic days are my favourite things to do in spring.

What I look forward to during the months of spring are St. Patrick’s Day, perfect temperatures, Easter and how everyone wakes up to the changes in Nature. Unfortunately, in Sudbury there are no festivals in the spring, but from June on there are several festivals and people love them. Last year, we went to a festival and I appreciate the people who took us to all summer activities in our city.

It was a wonderful year. I hope this year will be the same.
