Celebration

There are many celebrations for the Chinese New Year, including family dinners, lanterns, firecrackers, dragons and lion dances. These are traditional customs Our New Year was a special New Year this year, a very interesting and memorable New Year. On February 6th, we loaded a shipment from Calgary, Canada to Chicago , USA. Our Chinese New Year was celebrated in Chicago. My father's students invited us to have a New Year's meal together. He taught them physics in high school back in China. Then they became doctors and moved to America in 1996. In order to celebrate the New Year with them, we drove non-stop, and finally met them at the famous Chinese restaurant (MingHin Cuisine) in Chicago on the 9th. We ate our favorite Chinese food, chatted happily, and spent a happy New Year in another country.
