I completed 24 years of school. I liked studying at school. I had many friends and school was fun. I studied many different subjects, but I liked the science subjects the most. My favourite subject was chemistry because in chemistry everything works according to set formulas.

I studied English at school and in university. Learning English in my country was different from learning English in Canada. In Ukraine, the study of English is focused on grammar and exercises, and there is little listening and speaking. As a result, students develop very weak listening and speaking skills.

Recently, my situation has changed for the better in terms of learning English. Now, I learn English with more speaking and listening practice and I can integrate grammar in my everyday use. When I read a new text, I learn new words and I use these words to complete sentences. This kind of practice is very helpful for me because it helps me remember new vocabulary.
