My name is Rashad M. I was living in Syria. I was a farmer and had a good life. But one day there was a war and I had to leave Syria. I went to Iraq with my family. I lived there for 4 years. One day the UN called me to go to Canada with my family. Then I was at the airport saying goodbye to my friends. The airplane took us to Turkey. Then I went to Toronto and then Sault Ste. Marie. I was happy and I liked it. Now I have lived in Canada for 5 years. I like Canada because the schools are very good and the government is very nice and it is very good too. I want to thank Canada for everything they did for me.
