Woman prepare squash for cooking pumpkin dish. Close-up.

I remember that I learned how to cook from my sister. The first time I cooked potato, carrot, and beetroot with pork meat soup was when I was 10 years old. It's a soup I love to eat because it is red in color.

My older sister taught me how to cook it well, choose ingredients, prepare it, and how long to cook it for the best results. I studied the recipe very well in theory and one day I went to practice it with my older sister. She didn't have the patience to teach me because I always asked her why I had to do this or that and why I had to cut carrots the long way and why we had to put potatoes in at the end. Although the soup was finished with the results she promised, she never taught me to cook anything ever again.

However, I now have a different way of learning to cook from her. Now I just silently observe when she cooks and I never ask questions.
