Many people plan out their lives. I think that it makes sense. Planning out time helps you concentrate more on reaching your long-term goals. Right now, we are living in a pandemic. New restrictions seem to be popping up all the time. People are unable to do the many things they were able to do before, like having guests over, going on trips and having parties. Because of this, many of the things that were planned last year did not happen.
However, I am going to try to make some goals for myself for this year. I like to travel. This year, in the summer, I want to go to northern Saskatchewan. There are many forests there, as well as big lakes. I live in southern Saskatchewan, which only has fields and no forests at all. I really miss the rustling of the leaves, smell of the pines, and the singing of birds. Taking walks in the forest fills me with energy.
I have plans for the next 5 years. I hope that during this time we can overcome the pandemic and new opportunities for travel will come to many people. I am planning in the next 5 years to go to tropical countries with my grandkids. It is important to me. Also, I am planning to go back to Ukraine to visit my brother and my other relatives. I still have one small goal. I want to learn how to snowboard. Even if it will be a small hill, and I will be able to ride it down, it will still be a victory for me. Being active and hard-working makes a person stronger.
I think that planning my goals for the next 10 years is unrealistic. But it is always important to dream. When there are dreams, then action plans appear as well. I dream that in 10 years I will be healthy and energetic. I will be living in a new house, in a new city, with a corgi. Whether or not my dreams will come true, I hope to find out in 10 years.
