My name is Fan. I was born in Hubei, China. My hometown is a beautiful village, there are mountains and rivers and there are kind friends.

My parents were teachers, and in that small village I had a happy childhood. I miss my parents very much. I have an older sister, and two younger sisters and one younger brother. They all live in China now. I am the second child.

I went to college in 1987. I was a Chinese major. I was assigned to work in the TV industry. I was a writer because of China's reform and opening up, we wanted to go to big cities to develop, so in 1998 my husband and I moved to Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.

My husband found a job as a teacher, and I worked as a product inspector at a company. Later, opened a factory. Our factory made outdoor products. Our products are sold in Europe and the United States. Because of the economic situation, our business declined so we decided to take our son to immigrate to Canada in 2017. Our whole family likes life in Canada very much. There is healthy food and beautiful environment. There are friendly neighborhoods, and I like the friendliness of Canadians.
