Winter 2015

Travel (Outside of Canada)

Thai buddhist temple - Serpants and snakes in Watdhammayan, Phetchabun City, Thailand.

When late fall or early winter comes to Toronto, I really want some sun and warmth. The decision to go to Thailand was a good idea.

We bought the tickets and booked a hotel. I took a vacation from work and flew there. It was a long flight. The flight from Toronto to Shanghai took 14 hours and after Shanghai another 4 hours to Bangkok.

Thailand is a kingdom, located in Southeast Asia on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand. Like Canada, Thailand is a constitutional monarchy.

The proximity to the equator makes the climate in Thailand very warm all year round.

I booked an apartment in Pattaya, it was a nice apartment next to the beach on the first line. From the balcony on the 25 floor there was a wonderful view.

I really liked Thailand. Weather is good every day Thailand. It offers warm sea, tasty and cheap cuisine and fresh exotic fruits. There are many interesting places, paradise islands, monasteries and temples. Friendly atmosphere everywhere.

I really liked the zoo in Pattaya. There are many exotic animals that I have never seen. This is a huge zoo located in the jungle. There we saw giraffes, crocodiles, hippos, lemurs, parrots and many other rare and interesting animals. There were wild monkeys everywhere that were hunting for our lunch boxes.

I really liked Thai cuisine, dishes like Tom Yam or Pad Thai are very tasty. Even here in Toronto I now go to Thai cafes very often.

It was an unforgettable vocation. I lived in Thailand for about 1 month, but I didn't have time to visit many interesting places. I hope to go to Thailand again.
