Learning English is easier in Canada than in my homeland because English is not the first spoken language in my country, but in Canada, English is one of the official languages, so we get a lot of opportunities to speak in English and learn in English.

Secondly, in Canada, the government supports non-English refugees and newcomers through different platforms like Achev to learn English as soon as possible for free but, in my home country, people have to pay for these kinds of programs.

I’m so happy I have had the opportunity to learn English at Achev for over a year. Having the chance to learn English online has been a blessing. It has allowed me time to spend with my family and time to take care of other responsibilities. I like the flexibility.

In addition to the flexibility of online learning, learning English this year has helped me greatly improve my skills. I feel more confident writing emails, speaking with others, and applying for jobs.
