My favorite singer is Teresa Teng.

She was a Taiwanese singer born on January 29, 1953, in Yunlin County, Taiwan, who became an icon across East and Southeast Asia until her death in 1995.

She was admired for her clear, gentle voice and emotional delivery, especially in love ballads and folk-style songs. Teresa Teng sang in many languages among others which helped her reach fans in Taiwan, China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and beyond. Some of her best-known songs are The Moon Represents My Heart, Tian Mi Mi, Goodbye My Love, and I Only Care About You.

Her records sold tens of millions, and even though she passed away when she was 42, her songs remain beloved and influential.
