Honey baklava with walnut and pistachio, Turkish market assortment

Cooking tools:

  • Rolling pin
  • A pot
  • A bowl
  • Pastry brush
  • A cooking pan

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Flour
  • 400 gms Butter
  • 2 cups Water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup Honey
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 cups Pistachio
  • 1 1/2 cup Raisins
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Steps:

  1. First, prepare the dough by mixing flour, water and 1 spoon butter and 3 eggs. Make a soft dough.
  2. After that, rest the dough for 30 minutes.
  3. Then, prepare the sugar syrup. Mix sugar, water and lemon juice in a pot. Boil till the sugar melts.
  4. After that, add honey. Cook it for a few minutes.
  5. Now, keep at room temperature.
  6. Next, divide the dough into 10 small parts. Now, roll all part into a thin paper.
  7. Melt the butter and spread the butter on the rolled dough.
  8. Put the chopped pistachio inside the dough and roll it.
  9. Now, cut the rolls into parts. When it is ready, put it on the pan and cook till it is crisp.
  10. When it is ready add sugar syrup.
  11. Add more pistachios and it is ready to eat.
