In the Philippines, summer is my favorite season in my country, from the month of March until May. It is the hottest season, with the temperature soaring to 35 C. I like the hot weather because I can spend time at the beach. The smell of the sea breeze and the warm water in the ocean bring back memories of my childhood. Swimming together with family and friends, gathering food and drinks, and sharing laughter about the experiences strengthen the relationships that we miss.

On the other hand, I think it’s not only the locals who are splendid in the summer. I’ve seen that there are many foreigners who choose to spend their vacation during summer in the country. The people who live here are kind and respectful, the food tastes amazing, and the prices are affordable. In my home, it’s easy to talk to the locals, and most of all, the climate and beautiful scenery stand out.

The tourism industry is doing well, and there are many emerging businesses. But why are our cultural customs slowly disappearing? I hope those who are in government will pay attention to this, preserve them, and make them a priority so we can show others how rich our culture is, and not just because of the nice weather we have.

In general, let’s pay attention to our nature. It’s not just tourists who are amazed by its beauty. The people will benefit and pass it on to our future generations. We can build memories every time we come home and see how beautiful it is to experience the summer in my country and God’s creation that has been well taken care of
