There are many pros and cons of using social media sites. First, social media has helped us communicate with people far away. For example, my family members and friends in Korea communicate through social media. It can also be used for telling stories.

Second, you can gain information about things you have not experienced. When you look at Facebook you may find many people describing how their trip went or maybe you may be able to get a tutorial for some things. It allows me to get travel information and plan ahead before I travel. Let me give you an example from my experience. I love Roy Kim, who is a Korean singer , and I can learn from his singing skills to improve mine.

There are some disadvantages of using social media. People become too dependent on it. This is the Internet addiction that is a problem among teenagers these days. For example , studies have shown that when teenagers don't use their phone for just a few minutes , it may cause anxiety, depression, and they may feel they are missing out on all the stories their friends posted or they might think that they missed out on something important.

My conclusion is that social media certainly have clear advantages, but it is very important to utilize them well, and to utilize their advantages well. But, it is also important to learn through books in order to get accurate information.
