I had difficulty while learning something new at my workplace. I was working as a machine operator and changed to a lead hand position. As a machine operator I used to work with only one machine, but as a lead hand I had to work with twelve operations on different machines.
I had a training session for two- three weeks with a co-worker who was more experienced and could teach me the new operations. While I was just two days in training, I had a difficult experience with a supervisor who asked me for some tools which I did not have at hand.
Some of my supervisors were kind and helpful, but some were complaining about my mistakes. I talked to them, and I explained that I would try my best to fix the issue, but I was new on the job, and I needed more training.
Most helpful for me were the night shift supervisors who continued to support me, and I learned more. Here I am now, one year later in my lead hand position, with more confidence and experience.
