I remember it was about 20 years ago when I was attending a Tech course in college, and I was not into it. Maybe because I was very young and consequently, immature, I didn't give myself a chance to get involved in this course. The course was mainly about computer software and programs. In the early 2000s it was all new, and because I did not have a desktop computer of my own, it was difficult to follow and apply all that I had learnt in class. Every semester we would learn new programs and we had to buy these and practice with them. For me, it was not very engaging and the communication aspect of it was not effective.
Unfortunately, I didn't overcome it. However, if I had been able to deal with it, I probably would be working in another career now, and my professional life would be on another level - for the better. I had an opportunity to work in the computer programming field, but I was not confident enough at that time and I missed that opportunity.
After all these years, I still have some use of my computer skills developed in that course, because I know a bit about how to shut down and protect my computer and the hardware from further damage.
