I came to Canada as a privately sponsored refugee and became a permanent resident. I live in Sudbury with my family, including my 9-year-old son, 7-year-old daughter, and a baby. Life in Canada has its own challenges like the weather, the culture, job hunt, and also the language, but I am working hard to build a better future for me and my family. Canada is a big, peaceful country, and Canadians are kind and cooperative with newcomers. At First, I went to the YMCA centre in my area and they assisted me to fill out the child benefit application form. Also, they provided me with vital information about the health insurance card, Ontario driving license and how I can join free online courses. Through them I got the opportunity to join LINC Home Study. Since March 2024, I have been working in Chris Grocery Store in two departments as a service clerk and produce clerk. Overall, I like my life in Canada so far. In the future I have a plan to join the college or university to study a health related field.
