I think it is important to be involved in your child’s school and programs. Unfortunately, I have not been to any of my son’s parent-teacher meetings. I don’t feel confident enough to speak to my son’s teacher. My wife says my listening and speaking are good, and I should go to meet the teacher, but I don’t feel confident. I trust my wife to meet the teachers and always inform me how my son is doing at school. I don’t have time to meet the teachers as well because I am always working, and it is hard to take a day off. I feel sad sometimes because I can’t go with my wife since I am so busy at work. It is not easy to take a day off.

I feel content because my wife is taking good care of my son’s school work and education, and she is keeping me informed. My wife says the teacher is very helpful to my son. She is great with kids. My son loves to go to school and see his teacher. My son has a great time with his friends. They make a lot of arts and crafts, and he brings them home to show me. The school also has field trips for the class, and it’s my son’s favourite part of school. He loves to go to farms and see all the animals.

I think the teachers are really understanding. Because my son's teacher works closely with my son on his reading every day. They understand that some students need more time practicing reading and writing. Now my son reads and writes so well. It's so nice to see him read so well. I sometimes read books to him before bedtime, and he reads them with me, and I can see he has improved so much.

My son was born in Canada and started Kindergarten here in Canada. I think if I were young and came to school in Canada, it would be very hard to understand the teacher talking. It would also be hard to make new friends because I wouldn’t speak as fast as others in class. The work would be even more difficult and would take me more time to do than other students in class. Learning a language is so important because it helps you reach college and have a career. It’s also important to learn it to get a good job. I think school is a good way to learn the language. At the beginning, it's very hard, but it gets easier when the teachers are so helpful and when you find encouraging friends.

I think children learn a language very fast. They are adaptable. In the beginning, it can be hard. Especially when children want to make friends but language becomes an issue. But teachers are so great, they help the kids, and the kids learn so quickly.

Parents should know what the kids are learning in school. Some kids need more help. It is important to know if my son needs help learning and understanding the teachers in school. It's good to ask kids what they are learning in school and if they need any help. My wife talks to my son’s teacher to make sure my son is doing better in school. Sometimes kids don’t like to ask for help, so we, parents, have to be involved in their school activities and learning.
