Community

In the summer of 2014, my church had their annual celebration, where all the different branches would come together to worship, meet and greet along with other official meetings that would take place during this time of year.

These meetings and yearly celebrations are to maintain the standards and values set for the church body, and to also talk about the welfare of the members and the maintenance of all the churches that are associated to this organization.

During this time of celebrating with worship and songs from the various churches combined, I would be volunteering my service into the kitchen preparing some delicious meals, while meeting and greeting at the same time.

I have made some lifetime connections through this celebration that are now like family. I learnt about different cultures and their countries. I also met people from my country that could relate to me, making my experience one to remember. The weekend was great with all those different ethnicities and food. Summertime was the best part of the year for many who travelled from near and far. Annually a church location would be chosen for the upcoming year’s celebration.
