One of my favorite memories from a community event in my birthland, Iran, is celebrating Nowruz with my family. Every year, we gathered at my grandparents’ house to welcome the Persian New Year. We set up a beautiful Haft-Seen (7 S) table with items like Sabzeh (sprouted wheat), Seer (garlic), and Senjed (dried oleaster). The house was full of laughter, and we all wore new clothes. I loved listening to the elders tell stories about past celebrations. At the moment of the New Year, we hugged each other and exchanged wishes. This event is memorable for me because it brought the whole family together and created a warm and happy atmosphere. Even now, when I think about those days, I feel joyful and proud of my culture.
