Art and craft activities are a fun way to express our creativity and make beautiful things. It is a great way to reuse items like paper, bottles or shells and turning them into useful or decorative pieces.

One of my favourite hobbies since childhood is arts and craft. I just love to engage myself in making innovative and unique decoration stuff. Whether it is painting, sewing, or making best out of the waste, these activities are always enjoyable and relaxing for me. One such arts and craft I made was with pistachio shells. It was a lot of fun and incredibly creative! Pistachio shells are small, durable and have a unique shape, thus making it a great material for DIY projects and moreover its eco friendly.

Material I required was easily available at home like painting colours, glue, shells and undoubtedly my enthusiasm. I used a canvas board to create my theme "aquarium.” Firstly, I painted the background blue to mimic the water. Secondly, I painted the pistachio shells in different colors to represent fish, stones and pebbles. To add details like eyes and stripes on fish I used a fine brush. Next, I just glued the pistachio shells onto the base to create a lively underwater scene. Finally, once it was dried, I made corals with a thin brush.

It's amazing to see how small pistachio shell can turn into a beautiful piece of art!
