It was a sunny day in the city. My wife and I decided to try for the very first time jumping out of an airplane. In the morning, we woke up thinking about how it would go. We were really excited to go skydiving. Around 2 pm, my family drove us to the site where the skydiving team would prepare us for the jump. After learning the training and the safety procedures, we were ready for the big moment.
We were at 16000 ft above sea level. The moment the team gave us the signal; my heart was pounding really fast. I was scared of the altitude, but something inside of me was telling me that this would be a great experience. The airplane was on the mark; the instructor gave us the last indication before the jump. My wife jumped first, and then it was my turn. We were free falling at 150 km per hour and at first it was hard to breath because of the speed. Suddenly, all fear disappeared, and I felt a big rush of adrenaline running through my veins. 15 seconds later, the parachute opened. For a moment, I forgot everything, and all my attention was on the landscape and my brain was trying to process what had just happened. On the ground, my wife was waiting with a big smile on her face. She looked really happy and I knew the reason. I felt the same. She gave me a hug, and we were both really happy.
This is an experience that I will remember forever.
