My name is Chihchien, I been living in Canada for over 10 years. I moved to Canada in 2010, from my country “Taiwan”. I live in north Ontario, in the big town called “Sudbury”.

I started learning how to live in this big town, how to keep my own family, and how to be a good wife. The first thing was to know how to be friends with Canadian people, because in Canada there are so many different cultures from Asian to Canadian culture.

My husband asked me to join LINC classes. but I had kids and family around me, until few years ago, I started to be less busy. I contacted LINC program to learn English. I started to be the student, trying to learn correct English, talk well with my kids, with more people understanding me.

Driving is very different in Canada. When I got my drive license, I found that Canada’s traffic rules are very different than Taiwan. In Canada when there is red light the car can turn right side, but in Asia we cannot, when the school bus stop both side the cars need stop too, In Asia it is not possible! Now I am preparing for Canadian citizenship test every day , the material make me know more about Canada’s history, festival and much more.
