Breaking up is an extremely stressful period of time. Couples could suffer from it at different ages no matter how old you are - 16, 20 or 40. The main thing is not to lose yourself and the willingness to go further.

First of all, I would recommend finding a hobby. This is the best way to distract yourself from negative thoughts. Keep yourself busy and focus on your favorite thing - music, sport, writing or even job. This will help you not only to move on, but also to discover abilities that you’d never think you have.

Secondly, remove all items that would send you back to old memories related to the ex-partner. Burn photos with them, throw away clothes that are associated with that time. Don’t even try to regret removing these things. It will help you to make a new start and finally create a new amazing chapter in your life.

And last but not least, do not rush into a new relationship. Breaking up takes lots of time to move on. You should be aware that old times could light up in your memory and cause lack of confidence, disappointment and frustration. Your old memories will definitely have a negative impact on your new relationship and it will be even harder for you to forget your ex-partner.

Breaking up always was a negative and depressive topic. Sometimes it helps you to clarify how much time you have spent on a person who doesn’t even deserve it, and you may be happy about the decision you made. You just need to keep in mind that everything that happens in your life is not an accident and you should always focus on your own dreams, desires and wishes.
