Every year, especially on January 1st, I like to write my resolutions to be conquered during the next 12 months. Normally I make my own resolutions but if my daughter and my husband want to embrace my ideas, I will be very happy to realize everything that I wrote with them. Here are my plans for 2023
January is a good month to start a new book and this year I want to read 1 book a month. My father reads 2 or 3 books monthly and I would like to follow in his steps. I will try to find a book club that probably will help me to achieve my goal. This month, I am reading the book, The Family Lawyer. It is a novel about a father helping his daughter to prove her innocence in a crime. James Patterson is currently my favorite writer.
My husband and I are thinking of traveling to Newfoundland in June to celebrate my birthday. Actually, we want to know a different and beautiful place that we have not visited yet.
We’ve decided to go there after watching so many episodes of “Land and Sea”, the TV program about nature, cities, and people of Newfoundland.
My daughter and I have made a new deal. Every time when I go to Halifax to visit her, we will try a different restaurant, with different food from different cultures and countries. Halifax has so many good restaurants and pubs and we want to feel the smell and taste after that, we will choose the best place to call “ours '' as we have in Moncton. In Moncton, we have the Pink Sushi. It is a Japanese restaurant that we choose to go to when Flora is here. We love the music, the food, the service, and the place. Inside the restaurant is a big “fake” cherry tree, but is so beautiful that it seems real.
For me, it is so important when we have goals for the year so that we can work to make them a reality. It is so wonderful when we achieve our goals. We feel happy and we feel capable of achieving something that once looked so far away.
