The recipe for a delicious weekend breakfast!

"Shakshuka - a dish of Arabian cuisine.

It was one of my favorite breakfasts which I was usually ordering in Kyiv’s restaurants. Now, after moving to Canada, I enjoy cooking it at home for the people I love the most. It brings good vibes for all my day!

If you like to try, you will need…

    Ingredients:
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1/2 Yellow pepper
  • 1/2 Red onion
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 3 Eggs
  • Fresh greens - dill and parsley
  • Spices - cumin, caraway, coriander, black pepper
  • 2.5 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2.5 pieces of whole-grain bread
    Methods:
  1. Cut tomato, yellow paper, and onion into large pieces and blend them on the puree mix (I prefer not to blend a lot to feel the structure).
  2. Crush the garlic, pour olive oil into a heathen pan, and start to fry it.
  3. When the garlic is golden and the oil absorbs the fragrance, pour the tomato mix into the pan as well.
  4. Turn the less heat on a stove (like 6) and let the mix boil down for a little.
  5. Add a tomato paste, mix it and add all the dry spices (except black pepper).
  6. Break eggs into this mix and let it boil on a small heat till the moment egg white curls up.
  7. Remove the mix from the stove and lid for a few minutes (just a few, because we need the yolk to stay liquid inside).
  8. Toast the whole-grain bread.
  9. Cut the greens for decoration.
    Serving:
  1. Serve the table with 2 plates, forks, knives, and tablespoons (they are super important, and let enjoy the meal fully).
  2. Place the hot stands and the pan in the middle of the table.
  3. Decorate an open pan with freshly grounded black paper and cut greens.
  4. Take out the fresh crispy toasts and now you are ready to...
  5. ...call your closest and enjoy the morning?

Bon appètit!
