I want to share about a sport I used to practice in my homeland, which is called “AIKIDO”.
It is a Japanese word which means (the way of unifying energy). It is a self-defence art created by Morihei Ueshiba in 1925, it combines techniques from jujutsu and kenjutsu but only defensive ones.
You can practice this sport at any age, it is very beneficial for the mind and body, because it gives you more stamina, better reflex, self-confidence while reducing the stress.
I am relatively new in Canada, so I have not had time to check for new activities, but I am spending my free time exploring new areas and enjoying the wonderful nature, especially the forest. In the future I am planning to join an Aikido dojo here and at the same time keep trying new things like trek or winter sports.
I encourage everyone to start new activities given the benefits they provide.
