Mature couple out for a jog

The most effective exercise plans should include a mix of three elements: cardio (aerobic) training, strength training, and flexibility and balance exercises. The best types of exercise for losing weight, improving cardiovascular fitness, and strengthening and stretching depends on personal situations of physical health and ability.

Exercises can also be divided by intensity into lower exercise, moderate exercise and vigorous exercise. Studies show a combination of each type benefits us the best and brings out the best result. For example, you can try doing warm-up stretches for five minutes, run slowly for ten minutes and run fast for another ten minutes. Then repeat the cycle of fast and slow running and end it with stretches.

Robert is one of my friends who enjoy sport. He used to run almost 10 thousand meters every day in the last 20 years. Although now he is 67 year old, he looks apparently only 50 years old. You can’t believe it! He has run many marathon competitions. He always wants to run the Toronto Marathon; but as the pandemic isn’t over, he can’t do it yet.

Always keep exercising no matter where you are and in what situation. It will keep you young, healthy and happy!
