2009 was a year of great changes and achievements. I moved to Canada with an opportunity to become a truck driver. Before moving to a new country, you are typically full of excitement and curiosity. However, in the beginning it was a complete chaos. Studying the manual for Commercial Driver License was my worse learning experience. My biggest obstacle was English language. I have to used the rote memorization technique. I just closed in the room and repeated out loud until I learned and passed my written exam. Training school taught me in class and hands-on driving training. In school I prepared myself to pass air brake knowledge test and air brake practical test. I learned about Tractor Trailer Pre-trip inspection and how to maintain a logbook. With help from family friendly people around me I completed driving school, passed my driving test and got my Class 1 license. Truck driving school is definitely part of the learning process, but not magically transformed you into a truck driver. When you hit the road, you have new challenges and learning experiences every day. I am proud to say that I was very successful in my trucking career as a great tucker.
