People travel and immigrate for many reasons. I came from Iraq. Iraqi people travel and live in other countries for a better education, better medical services or a better life in general. Some of these countries are Germany, Denmark, Sweden, USA and Canada.

My family and I chose Canada because first, most of our relatives are here and second, because we can have a safe, healthier, and better-quality life here. My family came to Canada on March 20, 2018; and now we are permanent residents.
Before coming to Canada, I was still a high school student and I used to help my dad in his own store whenever I had time. Nowadays I work at a paint company in the mornings and study English in the afternoons. Before coming to Canada, I knew that it was a cold and a very big country, and after coming to Canada I realized how beautiful and heartwarming it is. At first, it was hard to communicate with people because my English was not that good , but Canadians are very nice and polite, even though my English was not that great they still helped me and over time I became better and better at communicating with people.
When I first arrived in Canada, I knew nothing about the culture or the places, but as time went by, I travelled through the country and I saw new people and new places. Also, I learnt a lot about Canada from my LINC home study course and that is how I learn more about Canada every week.
In conclusion, Canada is a great and a wonderful place with its people and its places; I am very grateful that I live in Canada.
