Baked Buns

This buns recipe is very simple. The buns are favorite food in my family. You can put it in lunch box for kids, it is really nice snack. My mother in law share this recipe with me. I lovely to do these buns because it fast to prepare and “Easy peasy.”
Servings: 15–20 pieces.
Time: 2 hours
Ingredients
- 700 -800 white flour
- 400 ml water
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp bread yeast
- 50 ml cooking oil
Filling
- 2 1/2 pounds Honeycrisp apples
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Directions
- Place all ingredients in a kitchen machine in the order of appearance in the list.
- Stir these to combine dough use a kitchen machine on medium speed.
- Turn the dough to the bowl, cover the bowl with cling-wrap and allow this to rise for 60 minutes in a warm place.
- After rising, punch the dough down and divide sixteens for cocktail buns.
- Knead the pieces briefly and shape them into flattened balls.
- If you like you can put inside various filling. You can use traditional filling like meet, potato, cabbage or sweet filling like sour cherry, sweet cottage cheese or stewed Honeycrisp apples with lemon juice and sugar.
- Transfer the buns to a greased baking sheet, cover with a tea towel and allow them to rise again for 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180ºc.
- Remove towel and place in oven for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Set baked buns on a rack to cool for 5–10 minutes before eating.
- Serve warm or cool.
