Family

I take this chance to introduce my family. There are three members in our small family, my husband, my daughter, and I, similar as many other Chinese families. We live in Waterloo since 2018. Waterloo is a small city in Ontario province, Canada, many people even call it a town, but it is very beautiful. We moved here from Shanghai, China in September 2018 because my husband found a new job here. My daughter was 3 years at that time. We heard primary education in Canada was better compared to China before we came. This was an opportunity for us to provided better education to our daughter which was our top priority. So, we decided to move to Canada from our home country China.

After staying in Waterloo for more than two years, we believe that we made a right decision to move to Canada two years ago. My daughter enjoys the school very much, she has made many good friends who are coming from different counties too, so she learns a lot from her international friends. It is better for her growth and future.

For me, fortunately, I have a fulltime job which can better support our family’s life in Canada and my English is improving day by day. I will not be as nervous as before when talking with other people. I am trying to enhance my oral and written English too, and trying my best to be socialize with other people. I enjoy my life in Canada.

My husband is working as postdoc in University. He is working very hard on his academic papers. He always stays very late for his research.

That is my family, we love each other.
