Buying a car is a big financial decision many of us will have to make. Let me share my experience about buying my first used car in Canada. Before buying, we must consider the make and model of the car as well as its advantages and disadvantages. Also, if we plan to sell the car in future it might be a good idea to check how much value the car looses over time which is called depreciation.
Description:
The 2017 Honda CR-V is an All-Wheel Drive vehicle with 4 doors, a rear camera and heated seats. This is a used car with 68,000 Km, 4 cylinders engine and CTV transmission. It is an economic vehicle with 8.7L/100km in the city and 7.2L/100km as highway fuel usage. This vehicle was listed at $21,498 but I was able to buy at $19,500.
Advantages
It is easy to drive, low on maintenance, and very comfortable. There's plenty of room in the back seats as well as in the trunk. I like the front dashboard layout and the rear-view camera that helps when you are backing out or into a parking area. Also, it is a reliable vehicle. It has great gas mileage. The back seats fold down. It has a cruise control. It has front and back windshield wipers. It has vents in the back seat so you can feel the air conditioner and heat and are able to control it.
Disadvantages
It comes with only a radio and does not include a CD player or a cassette player. Sometimes, I just want to listen to music from the old CD but now with this car I won’t be able to. Some owners that I spoke with complained about the heating and AC system which don’t start right away when the system is turn on. Sometimes, it takes long before it works properly.
