They say, no road is long with good friends. I would like to share with you a story about my recent trip to the Rocky Mountains. We went there with my family and our friends from Saskatoon.
The trip was mainly along Highway 1 - the longest road in Canada from the Pacific to the Atlantic which impressed me a lot. Anyway, the most exciting thing for me was to see the mountains. We’ve been living in the Prairies for a while and used to see mainly grasslands and fields around us, for that reason tremendous stone rocks supporting the sky gave me adrenaline feeling and anticipation of adventures ahead.
Our first place of destination was Banff, a town surrounded by beautiful mountains. We were hiking around and watching nature. It was funny when my son Deema found a long wooden stick and was exploring the area with great excitement for greenery and stones.
Few days later we headed for Jasper Provincial Park along Highway 93, one of the most amazing roads on the continent. The sites around were so impressive that a 3-hour way we were driving for almost 10 hours because of the stops along the way for admiring park scenery and the sights.
Even though we had only a week for our vacation, but the impression from Canada’s beauty with its mountains, falls, evergreens and wildlife will stay in my memory forever. Definitely, I will go back there again and again.
