This year my wife and I went to New Brunswick to visit her family in Fredericton.
We went there in the fall when the tree colors were amazing. The street views were like paintings. In the forest, we saw many animals such as deer, squirrels, eagles and chipmonks. I also helped my father-in-law do apple picking on the farm.
I went to Saint Andrews, a historic town by the sea, one hour’s drive from Fredericton. It was very beautiful there. I visited a museum and saw some cannons that were used in the war between Britain and US in 1812. I walked on the beach when the tide was down and collected some seashells and little pebbles.
We spent Thanksgiving with my wife’s family and it was very nice. We had a traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkey, mashed potato, gravy, corn and a variety of stuffing. I made a traditional Argentinian appetizer called humita. It was similar to a stew and the principal ingredients were corn, squash, onions and spices. After dinner, I played songs on the piano for everyone and we played some fun board games afterwards.
I love my vacation in New Brunswick.
