Two years ago I left my home, leaving everything that I knew, the routine, my family, job, and friends to start a new adventure, an experience that has made me grow and be strong in different areas of my life. It has allowed me to live millions of experiences that I could never imagine living. And I see God’s hand in my life.

I have always thought that yearnings that are in our hearts, those ones that we had since childhood are the pure yearnings, and we can make them come true. We only have to pursue them, persevere, and make them come true.

When I was 9 years old, I told my mom that the first country I wanted to visit will be Canada. When I was that age, I didn’t know anything about Canada. Today, 25 years later, I don't know how that dream was born, but I know where it came from. Today, I live in Canada and, day by day I am developing and adapting to a new culture.

It’s for this reason that I could say if you have a dream, go for it, take advantage of the opportunities that life gives you, and don’t let them make you afraid of uncertainty of entering the unknown. The new world will make you leave your comfort zone because behind this new door that opens up to you, there is a pathway to discover many more doors. Don’t pay attention to other people’s words who don’t believe in you, their murmurs, and their negative words that bring doubt to your heart. Don’t think you are too young, too old, or lonely. Never let doubt get in the way.

Fight for what you long for, and go through those open doors that can give your life a new direction. You have the opportunity to live what your heart, soul, and your whole being scream at you to live. Go after your passion, go after what you long, and look for what is inside of you. Leave behind the fear because the fear blinds you, paralyzes you, limits you, and prevents you from obtaining what is for you.

If you already accomplish a dream, go for the next because life is a gift that was given to you to live it in the best way. Be brave and take what is yours.
