Different cultures have different homes. For example, Arabic homes are usually made of brick because wood was usually in short supply. People in Arabic countries live mostly in apartments. Each apartment building is usually made up of one ground level and three upper levels. Each level has two apartments because the apartments are very large. In each apartment, there is usually a living room or two, a large kitchen, a guest living room, a dining room, a bathroom or more, an entrance room, and as many bedrooms as wanted. Usually, the bedrooms are much larger compared to bedrooms in Canada. Each bedroom is the size of a Canadian master bedroom and the master bedroom is even larger than that. If the bedroom is large enough, sometimes siblings can share rooms. The kitchens are very big in size compared to Canadian kitchens because Arabic women are very excellent at cooking and they enjoy it very much. The kitchens have many large cupboards and appliances to meet Arabic women's needs. The reason behind two living rooms is because some families like to have a living room specifically for the winter season only.
Furthermore, since most people in Arabic countries live in apartments, there are no garages. People usually park on the street around the apartment building or in the parking lot if there is one. There are only yards in the two ground-level apartments. Keeping everything in mind, the rich live in villas and not in apartments. A villa is a whole apartment building that is owned by one family. Usually, each level is one large apartment instead of two. Also, most villas have large garages and an outdoor swimming pool. Villas too do not have a basement but they have one huge yard and of course, they are made of brick as well.
