Celebration

The second day of the Solar Year is celebrated as Farmer’s Day in Afghanistan, which is equal to 22 March of a Christian year.

On this day all farmers come together in one special and monitored place decided by the Government (Ministry of Agriculture). They bring their product in boxes like showcases and celebrate. Many people are come to see and buy their products which are high quality seeds, high quality honey and all others products and also there might be exchange of ideas.

It's possible that some farmers can get good contracts from customers from out of the country -foreigners and in this way they can expand the market for their products. The most famous product is saffron which is planted in Herat province but now we have here in Canada that one. Also some people who have their handmade art also bring their products for sale and also get some contracts from those who need them.

This day is also the starting of farming and planting of all vegetables, wheat, potatoes, tomatoes, etc......
