Quit smoking, human hands breaking up cigarette

Has it ever happened to you that you quit something that you like for somebody that you love? I am going to tell a story of unconditional love and self-sacrifice.

About 30 years ago when I was a child my father used to smoke cigarettes every day. The main thing to remember about my father is that he is a family man that has always worked hard to provide a good life for me, my siblings and my mother. I have an older sister and a younger brother, and I'm actually a middle child.

When I was six years old, I had a small breathing problem and I was suffering from shortness of breath. Because of this, my parents were so worried about me. After visiting the doctor he diagnosed me with mild asthma and to prevent it from becoming worse he told my parents that I shouldn't be around any smoke.

My father decided to quit smoking immediately, And I didn't realize it then, but when I got older, I realized what a selfless job he had done.

First for my health and then for his own health

And he hasn't smoked since.
