What does diversity & inclusion mean to you?
I believe diversity and inclusion means everyone is valued and accepted. Everyone is welcome, and their skills, beliefs, and knowledge are worth it. Companies with inclusion and diversity typically have employees who have more innovation and creativity, attract more talent, have better mental health and happiness and usually gain a good reputation.
My workplace is a multicultural environment, there are people coming from at least 20 countries. At lunchtime, you can listen to people speaking in many languages. Also, people have different religions and beliefs, and company’s respect that by giving space for their inclusion; for example, Muslims have a place to pray when Ramadan is over. My workplace also has a committee where employees are part of it and discuss about inclusive policies and promote diversity.
I think the best part about working in a diverse and inclusive workplace culture as Indeed is the experience that you get listen and learning about their past work experience, their life, their belief is valuable information that you can get and can use for your own benefit.
