View of Burrard Bridge and False Creek in Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia

My family and I went to Vancouver in July for our vacation and saw The Rolling Stones in concert. We stayed at my daughter’s uncle’s house for 6 days.

His apartment is located very close to the subway, bus station and train. This helped a lot, because we didn’t rent a car during these days.

The concert was on July 5th. I was so excited, happy and when the band entered the Stadium; my tears rolled down my face.

Have you ever imagined that the guys are in their 80s???

We saw them dance, play, and the best part was they were still singing magnificently. They played for 2 hours, and I loved every minute there.

In the following days, we visited Stanley Park, which is a large park very close to the beach. There, we had an opportunity to watch the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra play an open air concert.

They played songs from movies, such as: ET, Star Trek, Pirates of the Caribbean, and others.

We visited the Botanic Garden, where the guide explained to us everything about in-numerous plants and trees. We went to Chinatown, downtown and the Bird Observatory in Queen Elizabeth Park.

Vancouver is a beautiful and busy city and because the population is growing fast.

We also saw many homeless people and people using drugs on the streets. It was a sad experience we had there.

I would go back there if I had another opportunity, but not to live, just to visit our friends. I still prefer to live in our countryside.
