My name is Sayed Ashraf, and I am an experienced defence lawyer, clinical legal education specialist, and university professor with over ten years of experience representing and counselling in the criminal justice system of Afghanistan. This experience helped me gain extensive and reputable knowledge by solving clients' problems in criminal, family, and civil cases while effectively communicating with them. Furthermore, I became the head of the criminal department of the Maiwand Khavar Law Firm, acquiring other communications and supervisory skills. I am currently teaching online criminal and civil procedure courses at the Afghan American University Law Department in Afghanistan.

I have combined my legal education experience and working as a clinical legal aid education specialist with The Asia Foundation to write a legal clinic book for the faculty of law and Sharia universities of Afghanistan in the project (Legal Aid Truro Legal Education). I collaborated closely with the Afghanistan Independent Bar Association (AIBA) and developed legal clinics in all universities in Afghanistan for students to practice the law in actual contact. I recently developed and organized a financial crime clinic focused on money laundering cases, which was very interesting. I hold an advanced degree in criminal law, which has recently been verified by the World Education Services (WES). I enrolled in the City Adult Learning School with the goal of enhancing my English language skills, enabling me to successfully complete the Bar Association examination and pursue a career as a lawyer here in Canada.
