Homeland

A lonely gray house stands on a wet green meadow among thick gray fog

Leaving my home because of war was really tough. It meant I had to go away from the place where I had grown up and lived. War makes everything scary and dangerous. The places where I used to be filled with happy memories became sad because of all the problems caused by the fighting.

How ugly this feeling is when you have to say goodbye to your home, friends, and everything you know. It's like leaving behind the life you loved. My journey to escape from war was not easy. It was full of worries and challenges.

My husband and I decided to leave our country to protect our children from the bad things happening during the war. Leaving my country was not a choice, but we needed a better and safer future to have in a new place.
