Volunteering is a good way to get work experience and meet people. It allows you to communicate more with others and improve communication in English. Helping others allows you to make new acquaintances and friends. Volunteering in a new country allows you to better understand the culture of the people living in that country. Therefore, volunteering is a good idea for socialization in a new country.

I believe that volunteering benefits everyone. Those who are engaged in volunteering meet new people and communicate, so this improves their understanding of others and gives positive emotions. People who need help can always count on volunteers. Therefore, they also feel protected. I could help older people with any handyman type of work. I could shovel the snow, cut the grass, and help take out the garbage.

I plan to volunteer in the future. I read about various volunteer programs, and I was pleasantly surprised that there are a lot of them. However, I would not, at this stage, want to engage in such types of volunteering as a writer or social media specialist because my level of English is not yet sufficient for this kind of work. For now, in the near future, I would volunteer in the community helping others, maybe the elderly and working on improving my English communication skills for other types of volunteering.
