Fried potato pancakes with garlic and marjoram, sprinkled cumin, chive and coarse-grained salt

Draniki is a national dish in Belarus, where my husband was born. Children love this dish very much. It can be served as a side dish or as a main dish. I slightly changed the recipe for this dish by adding zucchini and corn or potato starch.

INGREDIENTS

  • Medium potatoes - 4 pcs.
  • Zucchini - 1 pc.
  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Onion - 1 pc.
  • Starch - 1 tablespoon
  • Flour - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Ground pepper - to taste
  • Oil - for frying

Sauce:

  • Sour cream - 100g.
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Dill - to taste

Peel the potatoes and an onion. Grate all vegetables on a coarse grater and squeeze out the moisture. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour vegetable oil into a heated frying pan. When the oil is hot, spoon out the mixture and fry like pancakes until golden brown on both sides. Serve with the sauce. The preparation of the sauce: add finely chopped dill and finely grated garlic to the sour cream. Mix everything well.

Bon Appetit!
