My name is Mahdi. I was born in Tehran, the capital of Iran. My father was an engineer, my mother taught in high school and they are both retired now. I have two brothers, and I am the eldest of them.
Our parents have spent lots of time to train and teach us. In spite of the fact that they did consider our education, they never pushed us to choose something we don’t like.
My wife and I immigrated to Canada for less than one year after we got married, approximately two years ago.
I graduated in civil engineering 20 years ago, and I was working as a professional engineer in Iran; therefore, I have registered at PEO and now I have met the academic requirements for the certification.
I have a Master's degree in Executive Management, and I have PMP certification.
I started working 20 years ago in the construction industry through an internship job. I have been working here for General Contractor as an estimator since last year.
I am proud of what I did during the years.
I am satisfied by creating and building a new project. I become deeply happy when I am involved in a challenging project where I can use my problem-solving skill continuously.
I completed lots of projects, so I learned some new skills in each project, and gained lots of experience.
When I was in Iran, I had a lot of free time, so I used to read books, in summer go swimming and in winter skiing. Here I don’t have time for the entertainment, unfortunately.
During the weeks, I work in the day and study in the evening and weekend. Immigration at my age is tough. However, sometimes a significant change is necessary for growth.
I love nature and strolling on a beach, walking in a forest and driving in nature. Canada has a fantastic and unique nature.
My wife and I have a cute cat who has been a part of our family for two years. He is gorgeous, and we love him. He is smart and kind, and he helps us to overcome the stress that we have been facing in immigration. We all three play together and enjoy being together.
My wife and I do all the best to completely settle here and get used to the area to make value to the amazing country and society as soon as possible.
