We can help all sea animals and plants because pollution in the oceans can kill them. There are 73 Salish Sea orcas and they will disappear soon because pollution from boats can kill them. Their population has dropped by more than 20 percent according to the David Suzuki Organisation. The reason is noise and toxic pollution from boats affecting their life. For example, when I was in Vancouver last summer there was a tour to see orcas in the ocean, but for this we needed to use a boat. The people who make money on these excursions do not care about animals. The orcas are in trouble. In my opinion, they need our help. We need to act now and fight for our neighbours. They have the right to live in a clean environment. David Suzuki said, “ When you join and follow us, you will learn more from humans who know these orcas best. We must come together.” In conclusion, we all have a responsibility to help animals. We have to open our hearts and minds.
