Every person has a homeland. My homeland is an India. Basically India is divided in to four areas: north India, south India, west India, and east India. India has 28 provinces. Each province has their own languages and culture.
Now I would like to tell something about my province. In India I'm from Kerala. This province is situated in south side of India. This province is also known as "GOD'S OWN COUNTRY". Here most of the people use their mother tongue which is Malayalam. Also it's a very attractive region in south India. There are so many rivers, hills, and lakes.
In addition, the climate is also very attractive for the foreigners. The main cultivation are spices like pepper, cardamom, and also tea plants, coffee plants, cocoa plants, rice and rubber plants are the main products.
Celebrations are observed on the provincial day on November 1st. Also the province has a separate festival called Onam. This festival continues for 10 days in the month of August/ September based on the provincial calendar. Floral decorations are the symbol of Onam and in front of each home they make theses decorations. This festival is not religious; each and every person celebrates this occasion. Kerala is a mixed community: Hindus, Muslims and Christians are living there peacefully.
