Since I have opened my eyes, I found myself surrounded by a close-knit family. I am the youngest one of this family that consists of my parents, two sisters and three brothers. And when I went back through my important life milestones, memories and events that happened in my life, whether it is good or bad, or it could be both at the same time. Sometimes we think at the beginning that these events that happened are bad or sad in our life. Then eventually, we realize that it turned into something special.
One main milestone is the day of my brother's accident that happened in Jordan when I was eight years old. My brother was ten years old at that time when a reckless intoxicated driver in a speeding car hit him while he was crossing the road.
It was a horrible accident. My brother spent around one and a half years of suffering in the hospital. Through this period, his heart stopped beating three times and had a low chance of survival, but he was strong enough to overpower death. He survived, yet, unfortunately, the main loss of this terrifying accident was his ability to use his legs.
My brother had the will to accept his condition. Even for us as his family, we focused on the fact that he is getting better; he still has the ability to use his upper body. Eventually, he went back home in a wheelchair, and the story began here.
My brother decided to continue his life as if nothing happened; he wanted to resume his education at the same school. And because he lost two years of schooling during hospitalization, we became in the same grade. So we did everything together. We have started supporting each other as if we were twins. He has faced a lot of obstacles. For example, getting ill very often, but he never gave up, nothing stops him; he could do whatever he wants.
My brother was always ready to help people around him. Also, he has always been the family clown. He finished high school successfully, then took computer skills, language and music classes before getting a job. He got married in 2016 to a beautiful woman, and he became a great stepfather.
He is an inspiring role model and the main resource of positive energy and hopes for all the people around him, including me.
In a nutshell, some events in our life, whether it's good or bad, could turn to a remarkable milestone that will never be forgotten.
